I can't say enough great things about the staff and this hotel. For no other reason than just for the sake of being nice, the staff really went above and beyond to make sure my stay was special. Andre in particular was so kind, and I was absolutely floored by the service and kind gesture offered. This particular trip was a solo trip to relax, and the staff made it such an amazing mini-vacation that I can't wait to come back!
The rooms are clean, spacious, and beautiful. The bed was insanely comfortable with a cozy down comforter and excellent pillows. Normally I don't sleep well away from home, but I slept like a ROCK here. The heat and AC was really responsive and my room was the perfect cool temp.
I don't actually need to stay in a hotel when I visit Winston Salem (I only live an hour and half away) but now I look for excuses to visit just to stay here!

Amazing review Adrianecr!

First, thank you so much for the kind words about the staff and the property. We will make sure everyone knows how much you enjoyed your time with us. Secondly, you must come back soon, if for no other reason than to do absolutely nothing and relax in our comfy beds. We can't wait to see you again.

Cheers,

Andre Washington

This hotel was very beautiful the history was amazing the location was Central walking distance to restaurants. Enjoyed the breakfast at the Catherines. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed shopping at the mast store walking distance as well. We enjoyed dining at the famous Italian restaurant which is like 3 blocks away. While in town we went to see the Old Salem and the famous Tanglewood Park lights I recommend this hotel for its price its location and for the wonderful accommodation we had thank you

Room tip: One bedroom king suite with the beautiful bathroom and bath tub

Hello SurotUnggoy,

It sounds like you took advantage of all the cool spots in the downtown area. We are happy we were able to be your centrally located base of operations. We will definitely let the staff know how pleased you were. Hopefully we will get to see you again soon.

Cheers,

We stayed overnight after the game. Even though the outcome was not how we planned we still enjoyed our stay. The bowling alley and scrabble boards kept our group busy before and after the game. They even kept the game room open after hours. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Winston Salem

Thanks for the review Michellegh6143kd!

We all had better hopes for the outcome of the game, BUT we are happy our rec room was able to take your mind off of it. Next time you stop by Winston-Salem we challenge you to a little one on one!

Can not recommend this hotel. Has a ton of promise with a cool vibe and great music but room was sparse to say the least. No artwork but for a tiny set of antlers above the bed, no chair except for the wooden one at the desk in the corner. Furniture showed a lot of wear, the bathroom had no moisturizer or amenities and the shower door made an awful cracking noise when opened. All this for $471.00 for one night. NOT impressed at all. Don’t waste your money.

Though this is a chain (Kimpton) it feels like a break from the typical chain. The Cardinal is historic with charm but has modern conveniences. The bedding is very comfortable and since the building itself is very old the walls are thick making the rooms quiet. Service is good throughout the hotel, the restaurants are good and the gym is spacious.

Hey Mike D!

We are so happy you like our kind of wacky personality. Our big comfy beds will be waiting for you upon your return. If you take too long to come back, you are going to get pushed down the slide in our rec room. Thanks for the review.
