All in all a very nice hotel. Rooms clean and spacious. Daughter wanted a candy bar $4.00 for a kit Kat was way over priced but you are paying for convenience. Valet parking was included in the package we purchased. Very convenient location in Historic district

Stayed here for two evenings on the weekend in a one bedroom corner suite. Check in was done on line and our room was ready when we arrived at 1 p.m. (which we very much appreciated). Front desk personnel were extremely cordial and helpful. Our room was a bit disappointing since the suites are not really suites as there is no door and only a half wall between the living area (sofa bed) and bedroom. This is not ideal when travelling with children, which we were. The bathroom was spacious with a large shower. However, the caulking was discolored and moldy on the outside, and the floor was not clean as evidenced by wiping the tile with a washcloth and picking up significant dirt. Otherwise, the room and bedding were clean and comfortable for a weekend stay. Our room included breakfast in the Bistro which was very good but the counter server was alone in trying to take orders and serve drinks. Therefore, it was quite chaotic with mix ups on orders and over 1/2 hour to receive our hot breakfasts. Bistro staff, though, were just as nice and hospitable as could be. In fact, all staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful which is a big plus for this hotel. But, they really need to staff up for the Bistro during high occupancy as customers were not happy waiting so long to be served and receive their orders.

I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the public spaces such as the hallways and elevators which were not cleaned during the two days of our stay. More attention is definitely needed here (vacuuming the rugs, cleaning up particles on floor and smudges on elevator doors and walls). Valet parking personnel were very good and we had no problems retrieving our car in a timely manner when needed.

Thank you joy1 for your valuable feedback and review of our hotel. I appreciate your choice to stay at our hotel. I am very sorry that the cleanliness standards of our public spaces and your guest bathroom were not up to Marriott standards. Please know that I will work with our team to ensure these are not ongoing circumstances at this hotel. I have continued to hire Bistro attendants to ensure proper coverage and service for all of our guests. I have shared your comments with our team and we all greatly appreciate your recognition of their efforts to assist and care for our guests. I feel very privileged to work with such a friendly and caring team and I will continue to add to our team and ensure that I am providing proper training so that we not only meet our guests expectations but that we go above and beyond our guests expectations from cleanliness to service throughout the entire hotel. Please know that we will use your review to improve and better care for all guests. Thank you so much for your time and for being our guest!!

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel in close proximity to Wilmington’s historic district and were very pleased with this Courtyard. The hotel feels modern and fresh. Our room was a good size and the bathroom was particularly roomy. The bed was comfortable. Our room was equipped with a mini fridge and safe which are always appreciated.

The location is great. A short walk to the river walk, Cotton Exchange, shops and restaurants.

The hotel location is just right as you are close to historic Wilmington attractions, a couple of minute walk to the River, close to the bridge as you head to the Battle Ship North Carolina. You can either valet, or park yourself for half the price. There is a parking garage right across the street. There is a really small area to park so you can check-in. This hotel is typical of your Courtyard hotels: a small bistro (we did not eat at the hotel), small bar area, a place to sit, relax and watch TV, and has a small place to buy some food items. Lots of windows on the ground floor for natural light. We stayed in a corner suite. King bed (comfortable), sitting area with a smaller chair. A separate space with a couch, desk, and another TV. The bathroom was clean, bright, with a nice size shower (no tub which is fine with us). It also has a pony frig and coffee maker. Noise level was non-existent. There isn't a true closet, but enough space to hang and store your clothes. One missing was it needs a safe. They do have free USA Today for you. Hotel staff was great about directions and places to see. Everyone was very, very welcoming. There are plenty of great restaurants within a quick walk. A quick walk to breakfast places too. Construction in the area right now so beware of that.
