OVERALL 3/5 or 7/10
As a former "Road Warrior" with over 5,000 nights on the road for business over 30 years, I look for and NEED a good bed, decent room in a safe area.

Would stay her in a bind, but not otherwise, because of the poor mattress, (120) and road noise

Staff 5/5
Room 3/5
Value 5/5
Location 3/5
Safety concerns **
Parking Issues **

Staff
Red headed female at desk when I was checking in was polite and professional, despite having 4 people checking in at the same time.

Room
Dark, not enough lighting. Bed wasn't comfortable, and made sleep difficult, either old or a cheap mattress.

Safety Concern**
Power strip in room with 3-4 items plug in, not to code or safe. I know this hotel is older, but they need to either re-wire to code or stop using the power strips.

Value
You get what you pay for and under $100, it was bearable.

Location
Not good for getting sleep, because the main road through town runs on both sides of the hotel and it's worse on the weekend.

Parking Issues **
A very tight lot, especially if you have a van, truck or suv. Beware if you have a nice vehicle, because it could get a door ding or two

Room tip: Get a room on the 1st floor, no elevator

We just visited Sylva, NC for the first time coming from Florida and stayed at the Blue Ridge Inn. We had a lovely time! Our room was very clean kept and the property itself was very clean and close to everything - within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The Owners were so nice, accommodating and welcoming they asked us every day if we needed anything. The best part - this place is pet friendly!!!! Huge plus for us since we always travel with our pup! Thank you, Blue Ridge Staff and Owners for having pet friendly rooms available for travelers like us! We will be back! Lovely, lovely place!

The property Is located on Main street Sylva. It is located within walking distance to a number of restaurants and shops. The price was very reasonable. The rooms are neat and very clean. They have a refrigerator and microwave which both work well. There is a large screen tv. The channel selection is minimal. However, they do offer wifi. All in all I would certainly recommend this property

This is a gem in downtown Sylva. The rooms were very nice. We were pleasantly surprised. Staff was friendly and courteous. We arrived around noon but our room wasn't ready until the 3PM check-in. My fault. Easily walk through downtown to the eclectic shops and restaurants. It is located at the base of the historic courthouse.
