We stayed at Southern pleasure in July 2016. This rental was perfect. It has 5 bedrooms and 4 1/2 bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of everything in the kitchen you would need. There were 10 of us and we all had chairs to eat our meals together. There is a game room downstairs with a bar. There are porches to sit on and there is a pool and hot tub. These are fenced with a gate so it was safe for our grandchildren. There are more chairs at the pool than I could count! As well as a huge umbrellas. There is a charcoal and a gas grill.
We rented bicycles and rode into Duck and to the beach.
Dan, who is the owner, did stop by and we got to meet him. He is a great guy and very easy to work with. We would absolutely rent this house again!

The pool area was so nicely set up---lots of chairs and a huge umbrella. We spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tub when we were not at the beach. The location was a great bike ride away to Duck and close to Kitty Hawk as well. The traffic getting into the place on arrival day was pretty horrific. The rest of the week was fine. The kitchen was very nicely stocked and the layout of the house gave everyone plenty of room. The walk to the beach wasn't horrible, but it would be nicer to be a little closer. I had never had to rent linens before and although it worked out ok, the sheets were not the best quality. They did deliver on time and it really wasn't a hassle to collect everything again for pick up. The place was clean and nicely decorated and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have stayed in a number of houses up and down the Outer Banks, but Southern Pleasure remains my favorite. Took a group of ladies there in September, and even though it rained while we were there, we had a wonderful stay. The house is lovely, well appointed/decorated, and clean! We were very comfortable and between the pool, hot tub and close proximately to Duck, able to keep ourselves busy in spite of the bad weather. The ladies who stayed with me there all loved the house as well! Dan was so easy to work with, and is very responsive when you have questions. Overall, I was very happy with the entire experience, and really look forward to returning soon!

Very easy rental process from booking to deposit return.

Location: Must cross main road, but there is a sidewalk, and it is a very easy walk to private beach access. Beach was quiet and family friendly. Close to shops and restaurants in Duck... overall we were very pleased with the house and would return.
