This is a must see. We didn’t expect to find such a treasure. Very interesting history and seems much older than it is. A touch of Europe in Victoria. Beautiful venue for wedding or other special occasion. Try and pick a sunny day when visiting.

It’s definitely one of my favourite places within one hour’s drive from Melbourne. It is very artistic, has lots of beautiful corners, and is a lovely combination of nature and architecture.

Unusual place - great architecture; developed as an artist colony and still has a range of artists living here. Has a coffee shop and function area. Great Hall is fabulous

Went here on a Sunday for a friends birthday. There were 16 of us so always a challenge. We were only able to have a 1 3/4 sitting so by the time we finally got our food it was out the door. Food was beautifully presented and by all accounts delicious. But would not suggest going in a big group with having to leave so quickly.

Back in 1999, this was the venue of choice for my wedding so it will always be a special place for me and my family. The place is filled with local history and there is a story around every corner.

A beautiful place to visit, the cafe has a good range of food.

If you are looking for a wedding and reception venue, you will get in for free, but if you come with anything more than an iphone camera, you'll be asked to pay a photographer's fee per hour...
