This cottage is located in the smaller town of Stockwell near The Barossa Valley. It is an ideal spot to see all the sights and visit the wonderful wineries located in the area. It is an ideal stop off on the way to The Riverland. Stockwell itself is very quiet, so you’re not disturbed by any busy traffic but are woken up by the sounds of birds in the morning.
The cottage is very homely, with modern amenities that don’t detract from the heritage style.
The hosts supplied beautiful fresh ingredients for breakfast and lots of treats to spoil yourself with.
Outside is a very lovely vine covered pergola area and barbie, ideal for meals at anytime of the day. The garden is very pretty and obviously a continuing work in progress.
Really you don’t have to leave to enjoy yourself. The ambience is just lovely and you feel like you have instantly relaxed when you walk through the door.
And my pet favourite......everything is SO CLEAN!
Vicki & David have done an amazing job with this cottage. You need look no further for an amazing homely place to stay!
Meticulously clean, and added 'treats' (chocolate, breakfast provisions, coffee pods, teas, port, bottle of wine on arrival, etc. etc.) make it all so special.
Great location as well that adds to the ambience, and the Stockwell Hotel only a block away for amazing pub food and atmosphere.
The home also has all the modern bits as well - High speed Wifi, Coffee machine with PODs, LCD tv's, all bathroom amenities, stocked fridge and cupboards, stereo/radios, DVD player, tons of DVD's to choose from, etc etc I could go on forever! Truly feels like you're "Home"!!
If you want to feel like a local and experience the TRUE Barossa, we recommend this as the place to base it from! 10 out of 10 from us, and we're pretty particular on where we stay!!

We stayed here overnight in the Barossa and couldn't believe how amazingly generous Peppertree Cottage was: wine on arrival, snacks, fruit, fridge and cupboard full of food and port with Rocky Road! A lit fire was underway on arrival and it felt immediately homely and perfect for a romantic weekend away.
The cottage is fabulous Vikki and David who run this place do a fantastic job, it got it all, the food and all they other goodies they leave is really amazing the outside area is a really relaxing just sitting out there having a wine so good , and as for location for me it's perfect away from the bigger towns this small town has charm the local pub friendly good meals LOOK trust me this is the best b&b in the area go there relax and enjoy your stay
