We had a tablenof 8 outside in the most perfect spring weather. The restaurant wasn’t full but unfortunately they forgot about us outside so the service was not up to scratch and our starter order was sent to another table which meant our mains and starters arrived at the same time. However, the food was delicious, the pizzas were all recommended, the roast vegetable salad looked to be the best I had seen and not hidden on a bed of salad leaves. I had the salmon tart which for the price was very small but tasted delicious and our son had the kangaroo which was cooked perfectly. We had wine from the cellar at cellar door prices and that was a real bonus. The gardens and setting is beautiful and we left at 4pm after a very happy and good lunch.

Service was rather slow (waited at least an hour before we got our entrees). Entree was ok and mains were much better! Overall not too excited about it but not a let down either.

I had a voucher for a two course lunch at Herman's Restaurant and decided to take my hubby for his birthday. The lunch was wonderful and the staff were extremely good. If we lived closer it would be one of our favourite places to go

We tasted a number of wines and watched their video of Hermanns 1847 which was very interesting.Michael was quite approachable and shared his thoughts about some of the wines. When we went back the second day and saw Lisa she also was very helpful with her thoughts of the various wines. We enjoyed our visit and made a few purchases.

One of the best settings in the Barossa. We have frequented in the past when under different management and had really enjoyed: interested to see what was now on offer.

The venue remains the same: a delightful setting. It was a weekday so no problem getting a window seat with view out over the North Para River. A little sad that the resident geese are no more.

The staff were great. Obliging, friendly and great service.
it is a relatively brief menu but a variety of choice and as someone requiring gluten free options, I also had choice.

I ordered the kangaroo fillet, my wife the lamb and viscous salad. Servings were not particularly generous. Mine was good, my wife's a little less so. Seems it might be a bit hit and miss.
