Having walked past this restaurant at least five times and always packed to the rafters we queued for a few minutes before accepting a table inside with a view of the evening's Italian parade.
After a week in Trapani we had done to d'eath the fish courses of nearby hostelries so felt the need for a meat treat.
Not disappointed we chose a palma ham and salami with Italian cheese starter between two and afterwards t bone steak for the man in my life and for me five tender lamb cutlets served with garlic infused potatoes.
Service was excellent, unobtrusive yet efficient and the maitre'd/ owner charming despite our obvious language difficulties (Italiano not our forte) he recommended to us a delicious Perricone Sicilian vino rosso which complemented our meat courses perfectly.
The bill when it arrived a reasonable €93 considering the size of the steak very comparable to high quality English restaurant.
A nice added touch a lovely free glass of Amaro liqueur - a perfect end to a very pleasant dining experience in old Trapani and an excellent restaurant offering a meat treat alternative to this mostly fish living province of Sicily.
