We were five nights in trapani and passed this restaurant every night, but never saw anyone there. We checked the trip advisor reviews and decided to give it a try. It was not a good experience. We were the only people there on a busy Saturday night. The waiter was very helpful and explained the options. As previous diners said there is no written menu. We had caponata, very tasty, followed by couscous and then tuna ( in season here and excellent in every restaurant). The White wine was local. The food did not seem fresh, the quantities were meagre, we had tuna several times on the trip, but this was by far the worst, overcooked and small portions. The couscous compared to other restaurants contained very little fish. The wine was tasteless and not cheap. We had a wonderful trip in Sicily the wine was amazing and the food excellent, but not at this restaurant. The value for money was very poor and we paid a similar price for our meal here as we did elsewhere. It looks like the locals are avoiding this restaurant and it must be very difficult for them to maintain good standards without regular customers.

The restaurant is simply but tastefully furnished, beautiful wood and tiled floor. Room for about 25 diners. There is no written menu, waiter explains the day's dishes. Food is perfectly cooked using simple, locally sourced, fresh ingredients. We had little fish and herb omelettes followed by fresh pasta with raddichio and prawns and ricotta, chocolate and nut casata for dessert, all delicious. Waiter was attentive and charming, he will remember me as the customer who giggled with a mouthful of very good red wine!!! Fortunately we were the last customers in the restaurant on a quiet March evening!

Following the great reviews of the Cicara, we decided to give it a go....We checked the menu outside that looked fine and ventured in. Our waiter was very friendly and as we were the only customers, very attentive. Having overdosed on fish the last few days, we had decided to go with meat on this occasion and after we had ordered some water and asked by the waiter what we would like....we asked what they had in the way of meat! 'Ahh, but we are a fish restaurant' Ooops. Turns out there was a menu of the day (since it's February and so few people around) and it was all fish. So we had Cozze gratinate which were lovely and palombaro impanato with chips. Which was delicious...luxury fish fingers with no bones and was very hot. Just what the Doctor ordered. Unfortunately though here was another restaurant that doesn't offer house wine by the carafe, only rather expensive bottled wines...

Nice ambience, although a little chilly, a lovely internal courtyard that must be fab in the summer.
