This hotel has a pretty good western restaurant (pizza is good and you can get beer and wine despite it being in the Muslim quarter, and fried eggs seemed to be available in the morning for breakfast generally] and good location close to the train station and across the road from a great supermarket (to the left of the hotel when you exit ) where you can get just about anything. Chinese tours to lake Qinghai leave from across the road towards the train station about 730 in the morning. See separate review.
wi-Fi in the room and in the restaurant is good.
The beds are hard like all beds in China unless you're staying in a five-star.
The city main mosque is a short walk away.
Little English is spoken although a woman who is a manager type in the western restaurant is the best and quite helpful.
