I stayed here with my husband and two little kids on the drive back from Florida and was very impressed. Check-in was easy and fast and we even received an upgrade that gave the 4 of us much more room. The pack n play we requested was already set up in the room. The room was nice, clean and spacious. We ordered room service and the person I spoke to was super friendly and made the process so easy. The food came in a timely manner and was really good. When we left in the morning to get back on the road, they had free coffee in the lobby, which was a pleasant surprise! The front desk employee at check-in and check-out was very accommodating and they even gave my kids extra cookies! I would stay here again in a second.

Friendly staff, room - just ok. Texas steakhouse downstairs has decent food, but serving sizes aren't texas sized (coming from a real Texan). Even 120 lb woman like myself felt like I had to order seconds several times. Front desk- excellent, got me checked in and outta there in less than 10 mins. Gym- good range of equipment. Would come back, limited options in Rocky Mount

This is a 2-star Motel 6 masquerading as a 4-star Doubletree.

The fun began in the parking lot. Someone decided to narrow the width of the parking spaces so they could park more cars. As a result, there were a half dozen plus cars intentionally occupying 2 spaces. Fortunately, the hotel was not full but we did have to park away from the front door. That was the first star we took off. It would have been preferable to take some paint off the car doors of the mental giants that made that decision.

We tried to check in on the app. Although we requested a first floor room, we were given a 3rd floor room. The app let us see that there were 14 rooms of the type we reserved on the first floor. It would not let us change the room. That was the 2nd star.

And then there was check-in. When we inquired about a first floor room, the person behind the counter groaned and said "you're going to make me work harder than I need to, aren't you?" He did however change the room. As he gave us our meal ticket for breakfast he strongly encouraged us to eat breakfast at McDonald's or Cracker Barrel. He said the breakfast wasn't very good at the hotel as he pointed in the direction of the Cracker Barrel. That was another star. Breakfast the next morning was in fact okay. We had no issues with it.

Traveling, we carry a cooler with fruit and soft drinks. On arrival in the room, we started to unpack the cooler into the refrigerator. The refrigerator was off and someone had removed the knob to turn it back on. A Picture is attached. Yep, that was another star.

During the night we had trouble with the heating and air conditioning. The thermostat would not hold the temperature. We would go from freezing (covering ourselves up to the neck) to burning up (throwing all the covers off). It wasn't a pleasant night. Crud ... Trip Advisor won't let us give zero stars.

Room Tip: For a good night's sleep, we suggest a different hotel.

Hotel is dirty and dusty and feels cold. Needs updating. Doesn’t represent Hilton brand well. We had a few problems. Almost changed hotels. Suggest Hilton update this location. Cookies are a nice perk.

Not an up to date modern hotel-Elevators doors were rickety. Room was nice and spacious. Facility could use a facelift. Good overnight stay.Would return . Price /quality was good.Warm cookies were a bonus.
