And a great trail around the little lake after our picnic. Interesting older modern sculptures scattered along the pathway.

I have to commend Rocky Mount for having several open public spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy. I have walked and trained for races here. My only complaint is the overpopulation of geese! The city installed a dispenser with bird food, but people still feed the birds bread and other items. There is an excessive amount of bird excrement, particularly around one of the main parts of the path. If you can get past that (literally and figuratively), it is not a bad place to walk, run, or to take a lovely stroll around the pond.

Bathrooms are available, but people usually go into the public bathrooms in the adjacent Power Plant (across from the Mexican restaurant). Also, there is not much shade around most parts of the park, so wear your sunscreen!

I enjoyed taking pictures here and filming for my tv show. Rocky Mount has a great idea for families, friends and special occasions.

There is metal art of animals and other objects.there are are also ducks to feed and a walking path. The are work is amazing and has such a variety of items such as does made out of fire hydrants, turtles out of gears, and horses made out of scrape metals.

Lovely place to go to sit and watch wild life at it best. You can leisurely walk or for exercise. Maybe you just want to sit an talk...you can do that also. You can also feed the ducks.
