We chose Armstrong's because of reviews and the reasonable price. When we arrived, the owners were the only other ones there, as it was so late in the year. We ordered the fried shrimp with cheese grits, and some crab chowder. The chowder was delicious, and was apparently someone's grandmother's family recipe. The shrimp were very lightly breaded, and the grits were creamy. There are numerous beers on tap and in bottles. The owners were very friendly, and are lifelong residents of Nags Head, so offered lots of info on the area. We really enjoyed the meal and company, and will return.
