My fiancee and I had an outstanding lunch during our trip to Emerald Isle visiting from Montana. Very relaxed atmosphere, with great decor and views of the water. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu when asked questions about certain dishes. For our appetizer we had fried amberjack bites with a Cajun mustard sauce on the side. So Good! My fiancee had a delicious fresh oyster po' boy with a pecan infused tartar sauce. Oysters were so fresh on the po' boy. I enjoyed a fish taco plate, with grilled mahi mahi, a carribean slaw, and black beans and rice. Tacos were exceptional especially with the thick corn tortillas! As someone who cooks for a living at several resturants, I especially enjoyed the note from the chef on the chalkboard in the breezeway with a story about the tomatoes that go in their dishes. Makes it a personal experience and shows the pride in the food coming out. Great food and some good NC beers, with a great view of the Morehead City Waterfront offers a excellent stop after touring nearby historic Fort Macon.
