Description: Nestled off the beaten path in a Victorian house surrounded by 400 year-old oak trees, we are a local's favorite. Our seafood is brought in fresh daily, and we use locally grown ingredients. All the locals love our filet dishes as well as our large menu. All desserts are homemade. We are a family run restaurant with most of our staff having been with us for over 15 years. We do everything to make sure all of our customers leave happy.

I had been going to Nags Head for years but never knew about this little spot. The curb appeal is gorgeous at night. We did get there late but the staff never made us feel rushed. Our waitress really went above and beyond. The food was out of this world. This would be a perfect spot for a romantic dinner.Even though they were busy..we only waited 10 minutes.Food selection to meet anyone's needs and they will adjust your order to fit your needs.

For many years the Colington Cafe has been our go to spot for our family dinner night. As has been our experience over the years the food was delicious and the service was top notch again this year. Certainly a great spot for great food, a variety of food offerings and an establishment that knows how to cater to large groups.

We so appreciate you letting us know you all enjoyed your time at the cafe.. We try our best to accommodate large parties. Our chefs make every thing to order so at times all the dishes can't come out at the exact same time, but hopefully all was good and again, we are so glad you enjoyed it...

My family and I have been going to Colington Cafe for years. Every time we go to the outer banks we make sure we go there. The food and atmosphere and staff have never been anything short of perfect. Their appetizer platter allows you to try some of everything. The crab cakes, crab dip, she crab bisque are made perfectly and you can tell they are made with great quality crab and no fillers! The scallops wrapped in bacon have to be my absolute FAVORITE! They are to die for. The scallops are cooked perfectly and the sauce they are served with compliments the scallops so well! I literally dream about them! I recommend this restaurant to anyone I know who is going to the outer banks. We stay in corolla and it is 100% worth the drive. I highly recommend The Colington Cafe to anyone - especially if you like seafood. It is such a cute atmosphere and the outside is set up beautifully with lights and the gazebo. Make reservations days before hand - it is well worth it!

Can't thank you enough, Kelly, for taking the time to share with others about The Colington Cafe.. This means so much. As owner of 30 years and with our chef who has been there 20 years, we work hard to get only the best and freshest seafood, so it is nice for our guests to appreciate it.. And whenever we hire a waitress my first question is, Do you love people? So, again, Thank you for commenting on them as well... We really appreciate it.

I would highly recommend The Colington Cafe to anyone looking for a relaxing dinner, great service and a delicious meal. We tried the appetizer platter, which was spot on. Four of us shared it and there was enough of the crab cake, shrimp and crab dip for all. We all had the seafood special for the evening and the fish was cooked to perfection. The dessert platter was beautiful so we had a hard time trying to decide what to try. We finally settled on a chocolate chip pie and coconut cream pie. Wow!!! Do yourself a huge favor and try The Colington Cafe! You will be glad that you did. (We did have reservations, so there was no waiting for a table).

Thank you so much for taking out the time to write on the Cafe. We all love having our guests happy and work hard to make sure everything is top notch.. With a French mother and Irish father, feeding others is in my blood.. and with Bryan and Pam up front, they do their best to make your experiment complete. So, once again... Thank you...

This was the best restaurant we visited during our 4 day stay. The food was fresh, well seasoned, prepared thoughtfully. It may be a little expensive, but worth every penny if you're a foodie. Great wine selection. As well. Highly recommend. We will see you next time!
