Our Server asked if we were going to have the Buffet, without giving us any other option or telling us the price. So we said yes. Imagine our surprise when the bill came- $40 each. For a hefty tab like that, it should be posted as you enter or the Server should inform you of the price. The only thing that was good , no actually exceptional, were the hush puppies. They just kept bringing out fresh, piping hot ones. Soooo good. The fried shrimp were so tiny, they almost didn't exist. The crab imperial was made with some blue crabs, but also that fake crab stuff. Yuck! The vegetables were okay. Nothing to write home about. The tossed salad was very fresh and tasty. I certainly didn't get my $40 worth of food. The majority of the customers were very obese. I guess this is who this restaurant appeals and caters to. People were coming back from the buffet with two and three plates heaped full of food- more than I eat in several days. And it was so noisy in there. I definitely will never go back.

My husband and I really enjoyed this buffet. If you go to a typical restaurant and order a seafood plate, you're going to spend $25-30 and that doesn't include soup or dessert. Here, you pay more, but the she crab soup, crab legs, shrimp, and various seafood offferings were delicious and there was a nice selection of small desserts so you could try more than one. We felt it was worth the price.

We ate here twice during our trip. The seafood selection was great, wonderful crab legs. Be sure to come hungry. We had planned to try the other seafood buffet however after arriving, the setting was much too crowded and after taking a quick walk around the buffet while waiting, we decided not to take our chances there and came back to Captain George's. The only downside was the limited selection of non-seafood items for those who prefer more "turf" than "surf". Overall a very nice meal and experience.

We visited several seafood buffets throughout our vacation and this was the best! Large selection and everything very good tasting. Service was also very good, just don’t fall for the “pretty souvenir glass” drink. It’s well overpriced and your drink will taste just the same in a regular glass. :) Would return if in the area

We went twice on our stay here. If you like food, this is worth $36 per person! Today, we were informed the hours have changed to 3PM not 2:30PM for opening, just FYI! They also have a regular food menu for people who do not want the buffet. So many choices, but get there when they open, the food is extremely fresh!! I mainly tried all the seafood, the mushrooms are very good too!!! Crab legs, is basically what I went for! The staff is very pleasant, and the bar is very big! If you sit in the bar area, you have table tv’s! Overall, wear stretchy pants and go early!
