It's definitely a beer and burger joint (and not much else). If you like beer (any type), there are options galore both on draft and in cans/bottles. The menu is very limited (which is typical for this franchise), but the food is solid.

I would say this is more of a hangout type place than a place to get a meal.

JB's KDH is doing it right! What do you get when you combine great beertenders serving hundreds of styles of beer, a kitchen crew serving up creative and delicious wagyu beef burgers, a spot on wait staff, and owners and managers who go above and beyond to give you an exceptional experience? That would be Jack Brown's Beer and Burger Joint. There is something for every beer and burger lover right here. Late night until 2am for you night owls. Huge backyard with tables, corn hole, live music, etc.

We appreciated this option that isn't geared principally toward families... great portion size with lots of drink options.

We weren’t expecting much, but I gotta say that the burgers were really excellent. Very flavorful, tender, buttery meat in a soft and slightly toasted bun.

Not a huge behemoth burger with a bun as big as a pie, but a perfectly sized, very good burger.

Some might say they are a touch on the small size, but it’s a fair value for the price.

Fries are decent. Great selection of beer on tap.

Can’t wait to go back.

Our family ate dinner here on our first night on the OBX. It was within almost walking distance to our hotel. The burgers were good, and the fries were nice and hot. The dipping sauce that comes with the fries and burgers is a "secret" that cannot be revealed to customers. It was good with a mayo base. There is absolutely no children's menu. So, if you're looking for something a bit more accommodating for kids, this is not the place. They do have a lengthy list of beer selections. They also offer specialty burgers with a variety of toppings. The kids and I just had regular, plain burgers. I do mean "plain," as in they do not add any toppings whatsoever - no lettuce, tomato, condiments. There was some mustard and ketchup on the table. My husband ordered a specialty burger and said it was pretty good (the Cowboy?). The burgers reminded me a bit of Wendy's or homemade, fried-on-the-kitchen-stove burger. They were good but nothing to write home about. I would be more inclined to eat here again if I were going on a date but not with kids.
