My husband and I visited this past summer and had the best time! The staff were super attentive and accommodating. We were able to relax and enjoy the amenities at our leisure and really soak up the mountain life. Basically, it has been our most favorite vacation ever! Highly recommend if you need a break from the real world.

For those of you familiar with the Relais & Chateaux consortium, you won't be disappointed with Half-Mile Farm. It's just what you'd expect - perfection. The little extras: champagne upon checkin, lemonade, iced tea and home made cookies all day long, jigsaw puzzles, corn hole, bicycles, paddle boards, row boats - everything was there to make you feel at home. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. The pool and hot tub are heated mineral water with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. And breakfast each morning was scrumptious. Complimentary van rides into town are available pretty much whenever you need them. We couldn't have been more pleased. Relaxation to the max!

Room tip: We enjoyed Room 27 - close to the parking lot and ground level.

Staff courteous, welcoming and efficient....room very comfortable and quiet. Pond/canoes a nice touch. Walking path still needs some attention. Will plan another visit in the near future. Breakfast service was excellent and staff anxious to please. Afternoon cocktails very enjoyable. No children or pets was also appreciated.

I have visited this property a few times now and it is the only place I like to stay when visiting Highlands. The service is outstanding, the breakfast is always yummy, and it just feels quaint and cozy. As soon as I arrive, peace just sets in. I always hat to leave!

This place is just amazing. It is this little tucked away slice of heaven in Highlands, NC. The staff, the rooms, the bar - everything was exceptional and was just perfect! We will definitely be back! Nicole and Ian
