Well done ambiance. Very romantic setting. Outside seating would be great as well if it was not for the searing heat. Find a mild evening and it would be great.
Our server (Jose) was excellent. He was the second best server/waiter we had ever experienced (in many dining occasions). He took great care of us. Gave us wonderful information about the restaurant concept and information about the food offerings.
The food is where this place lost its five star rating for us. We were poised to give this place five stars after the wedge salad and our service. But we ordered the crab cake and the chicken and seafood Paella. Both of those items were below average. Not worthy of lofty accolades. Our deserts finished strong (chocolate moose and a bourbon pecan pie). But with our disappointment in our food selections and lack of value (expensive for below average food offerings) drug this place down to four stars from us. We very well could have rated this place five stars if we chose two different food items. But they failed on the two we did order. WE would not hesitate to recommend this place but would say stay away from the paella (I am not Spanish and I make better).
