Well done ambiance. Very romantic setting. Outside seating would be great as well if it was not for the searing heat. Find a mild evening and it would be great.

Our server (Jose) was excellent. He was the second best server/waiter we had ever experienced (in many dining occasions). He took great care of us. Gave us wonderful information about the restaurant concept and information about the food offerings.

The food is where this place lost its five star rating for us. We were poised to give this place five stars after the wedge salad and our service. But we ordered the crab cake and the chicken and seafood Paella. Both of those items were below average. Not worthy of lofty accolades. Our deserts finished strong (chocolate moose and a bourbon pecan pie). But with our disappointment in our food selections and lack of value (expensive for below average food offerings) drug this place down to four stars from us. We very well could have rated this place five stars if we chose two different food items. But they failed on the two we did order. WE would not hesitate to recommend this place but would say stay away from the paella (I am not Spanish and I make better).

Best restaurant in Hickory, very good wine selection. Food choice includes appetizers, small tapas plates and some dinner plates offering steak, fish & chicken. Been here several times and never disappointed.

I attended a business dinner with about 25 other guest. The wait staff was great at keeping the wine flowing and appetizers replenished. I ordered the Filet Mignon. It was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor.

Dined here w/o a reservation at 7:30 on the Tuesday night during restaurant week. Party of 8 was seated within 5 minutes and noise level was very accomodating to allow group conversation. Our server was good & service was paced well. Six of our group chose restaurant week menu offerings & all enjoyed their chosen selections. Portions for the courses were appropriate & provided a good value for quality for 3 courses. The three of us dining off had mixed experiences with quality. Two people of is went for 2 tapas dishes each, while one coworker opted for solo entree only. My brussel sprout dish was very disappointing. I love this vegetable and was unimpressed with the chef's preparation/execution. The vegetables were extremely bitter and about half were not roasted enough & inedible. My coworker felt her bleu salad was lack luster & overpriced. On the flipside I loved my Tagine and she really enjoyed the rabbit & beans offering. Our coworker who chose the Salmon found his "medium" preparation to be dry and slightly overcooked for his taste. Six of the eight of us opted for desert and all loved their choices - kudos to the pastry chef! Everyone had a cocktail and/or wine with their meal, and we were all happy with our selections. This ended up being expensive for a business meal, but I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again for personal dining. It is worth noting though, that that diners with finicky or "meat & potatoes only" dining preferences would likely not be happy with the current menu offerings. Most of our group has adventurous tastes & enjoyed the ethnic offerings & flavor execution.
