This was our second Stay at the Oak Hill Country Inn. This time with 3 couples on a motorcycle trip down the Tail of the Dragon. We love this venue! Connie is fun, outspoken, and informative about the area. Her home is charming with antiques, dragon decor, and a beautiful yard. Spring and fall are both spectacular! The meals are great, the rooms are comfortable and well-furnished, and the wrap around porch is perfect for coffee, cocktails, and just relaxing. We loved it and will hopefully make our way there again. =)

Room Tip: Our room was on the first floor which was convenient. But all of them are charming and beautiful.

We spent a weekend there and enjoyed the solitude and serenity of the place. It is about a mile or two out of town and on a large lot. The owner tries to make sure you have everything you would want. Breakfast is served right at 9:00AM and it was delicious.

We enjoyed our time at the Oak Hill B & B, and chatting with the owner, Connie, on the back deck in the afternoon sun. We stayed in the Amethyst room, which was true to it's color, right down to the lavender soap. There was only one other couple staying there, and they had left before breakfast, so it was just us. Eggs, sausage, English muffins and ketchup & jam right out of the True Value jars (advice, put in a small bowl - would make it all seem so much nicer!) Would recommend if passing through this part of North Carolina - very central to the Smokey Mountain National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Room Tip: We stayed on the main floor since that room was available.

I am a firefighter - public information officer. I was deployed to work at the Franklin Incident Command Post on the Boteler and Nantahala Fires Branch from November into December. We worked very long hours in a stressful environment. Staying at the
Oak Hill Country Inn made it feel like coming home each night. The proprientior, Ms. Grubermann could not have been more accommodating. The Oak Hill Country Inn is a great B&B. I couldn't recommend it more highly, and if I ever find myself in that part of the country again; I'll definitely being staying at Ms. Grubermann's B&B.

Room Tip: Book the cottage if you're traveling with a group. Two bedroom, a kitchen, living room, even a washer/dryer.

When you are in Franklin you MUST stay at Oak Hill Country Inn !!! We were there in July and are going back in December for our anniversary ! Connie is an wonderful hostess. We were greeted as if we were old friends. The drinks and conversation on the porch were so nice ! Miss Beta (our 4 legged hostess) was so sweet....she did peg me for the sucker that would let her go outside when she wanted.

Breakfast was awesome. We've been to other B&Bs that felt like a small restaurant, but here, Connie sits down and eats with you. Wonderful conversation and a 'no rush' attitude was relaxing.

We stayed in the Topaz Room. The size was great and furnishings were comfortable. It has a large tub with shower.

In December we chose to stay in the Garnet Room. Wanted to try a different room and it is upstairs.

The Inn is quiet and very comfortable and welcoming.

Definitely a must stay while in Franklin, NC

Room Tip: Topaz and Amathyst Rooms are on the main level.
