We booked this place on our way from Chicago to Auburn, on my way back to vet school for the spring semester. The goal? To check out of reality and relax! Mission: accomplished with this gorgeous home in the middle of nowhere.
It's about 20 minutes to the grocery store from the home, and to "downtown" Franklin. We didn't venture out except to get supplies (food/drinks/firewood) in the area, so I can't speak much to their downtown area, but the home itself....perfection.
We stayed - my boyfriend, myself, and our two dogs - for a few nights and it was amazing. We arrived at night, which I do not recommend - it's up a mountain and there are no streetlights (not a complaint, that's for sure!) but that can make it a bit difficult to navigate. That said...waking up to that view?! Unbelievable! It was breathtaking. Absolutely stunning!!!
The hot tub on the deck was perfect - my only suggestion is to crank the heat when you arrive, as it's turned down (understandably) when no one is staying there.
The internet was slow/unreliable, there were some ladybugs that were trying to escape the cold inside the home, but overall? IT COULDN'T BE BEAT. The price was reasonable, the view was outstanding, and our goal of enjoying life was beyond accomplished with this place. The home and its surroundings were absolutely perfect.
