Driving up the parking lot was full. Seat yourself was the sign after walking it. With some people standing around we walked to the first open booth. The two booths on either side were shortly occupied by new guests. After about 5 minutes the waitress handed each table menus an took drink orders. After drinks were served she started the breakfest order from the last couple to seat themselves, then us, and then the other couple on the other side of us. The waitress was in a constant rush. The order came out for one couple first, which looked very much like our meal. Then the other couple got their meal. Again one having a waffle with strawberry and whip cream and the other having an egg combo. Similar to our order. When it came around to serve us minutes later, I was given my waffle with strawberry and whip cream. After waiting minutes longer I started to eat while my wife waited for her eggs, sausage, hash browns, and toast. I got my 3 pieces of bacon

Exhausted by the bumper to bumper traffic since yesterday at 6 am. We needed gas an a bite to eat.
We wanted a decent breakfast, got off 95 going North, excitedly parked went to open the door and the place was CLOSED! Open sign was on!!

Never mind just make it to SageBrush steak house just across the street, not breakfast but fantastic food!! Lauren took care of us.

Happy refugee!

Our family travels all over the U.S. and have enjoyed great food in small local restaurants. We had envisioned a southern style delicious breakfast this morning as well. We have had great food all over NC, but this place was an exception!! The food quality was poor and the waitress got four of four orders WRONG!! We had looked forward to southern biscuits. We got soft bread that tasted more like hamburger rolls than biscuits. There was only one choice of cheese for omelets or sandwiches and only two types of bread. The grits were bland and tasteless. All in all, it was a BUST

This is a local favorite. Friendly and fast without sacrificing any quality. We ate breakfast here on a drive up 95.
Everything about this place is country home food. ....like you ate at someone's home!!! Grits are the greatest...eggs made to order....nothing greasy....bacon great too. You won't be disappointed! Beats Cracker Barrel hands down!
