Were a family on a tight budget, but we love to travel for our birthdays. This hotel was wonderful. It was very clean, the staff was friendly and knowledgable. Nice breakfast with waffles and sausage bisciuts. has a small but clean pool. You cant beat this for the price. Is in a decent neighborhood near other hotels and near the airport. About 5 exits from Carowinds. The directions on choicehotels gives directions from 85, but if your taking 77, take exit 6B, go towards airport/Billy Graham parkway. Its about three miles, cant see it from the road, but it is beside the Red Roof Inn. We will stay here again in September. PS if your kids like airplanes, go behind the McDonalds that is nearby, jets fly right over to land at the airport.

Nice, Clean place to lay your head. $39 AAA rate for a race weekend was wonderful. Parking lot got full late after the race and was a little aggrevating, but all in all it was a great weekend for a fair price. Nice free breakfast, clean rooms with comfortable beds. We will be staying here when we come up for the races next year.

Aways ask to see the accomodations that you will be using BEFORE check in and the odds are much better you will have no serious "SURPRISES". A fine budget motel with park and fly for under 60 bucks, w/o is mostly under 45. Good wifi during midweek 2 night stay. Close to office, lower exterior walk in room. No laundry but there is one within a mile. Outdoor pool, seasonal. Continental Free breakfast was fresh and had fruit. This is an area, "on the outskirts of Charlotte", of hotels to accomdate the Airport travelers and range up to 100 plus per night. The airport is close, by way of the hawk, but approximately 2 mile drive. Hotel does offer shuttle and we took note it was operating on a proper schedule, directly from the front of motel. On deciding to leave vehicle at airport
we discovered that the hourly lot (closest to terminal) accomodates long term handicap parking for $6 daily. If you need to econmize then use this Econlodge.

My husband and I had a 7 hour layover (US Airways) at the Charlotte, NC airport. We had a red-eye flight from Seattle, and with the time-zone change, we needed a place to catch approx. 3-4 hours of comfortable sleep before making our connecting flight to Cancun airport.

We paid approx. $45 for our short stay through hotels.net. All the staff were extremely helpful throughout the booking process and throughout our stay. Even from the pick-up at the airport (which by the way is complimentary :) ), our experience was easy and exactly what we needed. We checked in at about 7am and there was a simple, complimentary breakfast provided in the lobby. There was also free internet access through the two lobby computers.

Our room was basic (TV, bed, desk, shower, toilet, hairdryer) and most importantly, clean.

Again, our stay was only from 7am-12noon to catch some zzzzzs and it was just what we needed, especially for the price!

If you're looking for a place to stay close to the airport and with basic needs, this may be just the place for you!

We were excited to find a super low rate at this hotel, but I should have remembered "you get what you pay for". We got a very roomy two bedroom/two bathroom suite (two bathrooms!) for $72 right before Christmas. We were just staying one night on our way to Roanoke. Upon checkin, I was worried as I don't like to stay in hotels that have doors that open to the parking lot. But - the suites are on the third floor, and the doors connect to a main hallway that you need a key card to get into. So I felt a little safer. The hallway is a bit freaky - very dark and narrow, and very long - the place looks small but there are all these weird hallways. It just felt weird walking to our room at night. We had two small kids too. The room looked great! Very clean and very comfortable bedding. However, the hot water at night was super hot, and the cold water was very hot too. We had no cold water out of the sink or tub in the main bathroom! In the morning, we had no hot water! Also, don't stay here if you are a light sleeper - very loud noises from the highway and airplanes flying overhead. The heater/air was also very loud. Even on the coolest setting, the heater blew out the most insanely hot air. I couldn't breathe. So we spent the night turning the heat on, dying of heat, and turning it off, but freezing. Off/on/off/on. A positive note is that all the staff were super friendly, and we were delighted that there was also a free breakfast.
