My sister and I bother ordered the brisket poutine fries and the brisket sandwich, we had a hankering for some good brisket. We were not disappointed. The poutine and sandwich were both melt in your mouth excellent! With a couple of refreshing summer drinks, I had a lemonade mojito and my sister had a refreshing mule, we enjoyed our meals thoroughly!

I should order some other meal someday from this place, but the meatloaf and the gravy are soooo good. I have no idea what secret ingedients they use! They give so much food, it feeds me for 2 days! String beans and mashed potatoes are great too.

A recent dinner at the Irish Pub was great! Service from the staff was on time and friendly. Food was wonderful and hot! While waiting for food, a DJ kept us all intertained with Music Bingo, what fun!

Bottom line: Doherty's Cary has very inconsistent quality and service. Also not a good value for the price. I have no plans of returning.

Party of 5 arrived at 1:00 PM on Sunday July 22nd for brunch. There not much of a crowd so we were seated right away. :o)

Friends that had recommend Doherty's Cary had suggested the Brisket Nochos as a starter and the eggs Kilkenny so that is what we ordered along with the Bloody Mary bar. The server let us know that Doherty's had just ran out of eggs Kilkenny and it was no longer available. Our party went ahead and ordered the Brisket Nochos to start while we looked at the menu for other items.

While the restaurant was not overly busy (less than 50% occupancy) it did take 25 minutes to receive our drink order (the Bloody Mary's were very good). The server took our main entree order after the Bloody Mary order arrived. Our party's main entree order consisted of 2 orders of Corned Beef Hash, one order of Fish & Chips, one pancake platter order, and one grilled Reuben sandwich. All orders arrived at the same time (40 minutes after the main entree order was taken). However, we canceled the Brisket Nacho starter order after the main order arrived with the server apologizing and stating the kitchen did not have the nochos ready yet. This was 1 hour and 15 minutes after our party's arrival.

The quality of the food was inconsistent with the poached eggs for the Corned Beef Hash orders quite over cooked to the hard boiled stage, the french fries (chips) for the fish & chips and the Reuben arrived cold and very oily being un-eatable.

The actual corned beef in all orders was excellent. The fish was also excellent. The pancakes were very good as well although when asked for syrup for the pancakes it never arrived.

A second round of 5 bloody marys were ordered when the main entrees arrived arriving after the meal was completed and were absolutely horrible.
