We were in the region for a long weekend getaway and as it is off season we did have some trouble finding a place to eat an evening meal. Most of the local wineries, restaurants etc open for lunch not dinner. When we booked we were told that as the "Cinefest" was on that they would get busy and to come early. That suited us perfectly fine so we got there at 6. There were four of us and we ordered 2 serves of the seafood chowder, salt and pepper squid and fish and chips. The food was great, arrived quickly and was piping hot. The restaurant very quickly got very busy and we were really glad we got the headsup to get there early. The staff were friendly, professional and worked really hard. They were flat out!!
A great night out.

Not being a huge seafood fan, Clancy's had not rated on my 'must do' list when visiting Dunsborough. Luckily one of our family suggested we try there and we are so glad we did. The relaxed friendly welcome and delicious food (good seafood selection but also a choices for vego's and meat eaters too). On the Sunday night we visited most of the tables were taken, but as many families with young children came early and then left early there was empty tables ready for new, later, arrivals. A band played at the far end of the restaurant - background music- so we could easy talk and be heard. The youngsters loved looking at he fish in the tank and I thought the different sitting areas with sofa's, for those having drinks but wanting more comfort than sitting at the bar, worked really well and stopped the venue from feeling like a huge cafeteria. Dogs were welcome and they could sit with their owners in a special area (under cover outside - with heaters on). I'll visit here again when in Dunsborough again :-)

Discovered this laid back fish pub. Great food options, excellent choice of beers. Great service. Ordering of food and beer is "self-serve" - ordering food from bar, as well as beer, but enabled more engaging discussion with staff.

Another good experience here. It's become a regular stop for us during our stays down south. The food and service were really good again, as always. I do have a couple of negatives this time though:

1) The seafood platter (we order every time) was MUCH smaller than usual. Cost cutting perhaps?

2) There were a few very drunk older "hippy" women dancing and falling around the place, which gave it more of a "front bar" kind of feel, rather than a family friendly venue. One of the women kept trying to grab my kids to dance, which after a few strong "No's" from me kept her away. She continued to do it to any random child she came across on the dance floor. Now I do understand she may be a regular, but surely staff or management are still obliged to keep her in some sort of order, or ask her kindly to leave is she's too hammered? Yes it's a regular haunt for many locals, but it's also a family friendly venue and tourist location.

We'll be back of course.

Been meaning to visit for years! Worth waiting for, nice feel to the place with a roaring fire on a chilly day. Varied menu especially for a fish restaurant, good range of local beers and wines.
Service - order at the counter - was friendly and efficient. Food came quickly , the whiting was excellent and the sea platter was well received, the octopus on the platter was swapped out for extra squid without any fuss.

A very pleasant place to spend the afternoon.

Thank Robin R
