Stayed: January 2018

Were travelling as a couple with a young child and the small chalet suited out needs very well. We used the bedrooms downstairs and the kid used the upstairs/loft room as a play room. The log fire (the nights were pretty chilly even in December) was very welcome and the place feel very cosy in the evening. The views are pretty good as the chalets are on a hillside.
There is farmland next to where the chalets were and every day we saw a pair of raptors hunting which was good. The only issue - which was not the fault of the owners - was that one night was disturbed by loud gunshots as kangaroos were being cleared from the farm. This may have been a bit disconcerting had I not known what it was.

to me

The Augusta Sheoak Villas were very private with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. The chill of the evening made the fireplace a winner as it warmed the whole area and created a lovely atmosphere. The kitchen was well equipped and included all the essential utensils and pans. There was a washing machine which we didn't use, but could be handy for travellers needing to wash. Two separate bedrooms and an upstairs loft made it possible to fit a family or a group inside comfortably. Easy to drive to scenic locations and tourist destinations in the area but too far to walk to town. There is no reception. When you arrive you are directed to a box with your name, chalet No and a key. Drop it off on the way out when leaving. They have a phone No for any issues and are most helpful if required. Don't let this put you off staying here.

Room Tip: All chalets well positioned with great views

We had 5 families stay here in 2 chalets. The biggest chalet was amazing, with a nice big area for the kids to play, as well a pool table for the adults. Well maintained and comfortable. The kids loved looking out all the animals in the paddocks early in the morning. Plenty of room for all the cars, and a boat, as well as the fishing gear. Each chalet is far enough apart to feel like you are there by yourself, but close enough to walk up to our mates chalet when we ran out of milk.

Highly recommended.

We had chalet number 1. Small, but fine for just the two of us. The wood fire makes it very cosy and warm, especially when it is pouring with rain outside. It was fantastic watching the rain come in over the ocean.
Lovely view out over the surrounding countryside with cows and roos.
Situated only ten minutes from the town so everything was very convenient, but far enough out to be peaceful.
