We were staying at Tregarthens and had a beautiful meal there but decided to try another restaurant for our final night. Wish we hadn't. The menu was very limited. I had a peculiar starter of asparagus with orange sauce. The asparagus was totally overdone and soggy and orange really does not go with it. As it was Sunday there was roast beef. Had a feeling it was left over from lunch. It came with boiled potatoes, roast potatoes, roast parsnips and mange tout. Totally overkill on the carbohydrates.
The wine was very good though and we absolutely loved the roof terrace. It was wonderful sitting there with a glass before and after our meal. Next time I think we will skip the food and just have an aperitif on the roof.
