It is not a large spread out beach, but it is a quant beach with beautiful views of cliffs, rocks, and a small sandy area. It is surrounded by forests and palm trees.
Be advised the road to the beach is somewhat treacherous and probably best suited for a 4x4 or dune buggy. We were able to make it in our rental car, but I was a little nervous we would pop a tire. It is also accessible via a hike from Praia de Gaibu, but it is a hilly and rocky walk.
Bar do Artur is at the beach and it offers a wide selection of seafood and drinks. The staff is very nice and the food is good. Service can be slow when crowded, but they will let you keep your table while you enjoy the water. One of my favorite beachside bars.More
