During a quick getaway to Morro do Sao Paulo (Bahia State), my girlfriend and I stayed at this little pousada. The accommodations are simple and nondescript - rooms with simple yet functional furniture and almost no public areas besides a clean reception desk. However, what the hotel did not have in luxury it overcompensated in attentive service! The owners were taking care of the hotel and were genuinely interested in the satisfaction of each guests. Charming and friendly "Bahiana" hospitality!!!
As for the restaurant, which is also operated by them and has tables right at the beach, it was also a fantastic experience. Simple but very fresh menu items had nothing to envy from other nearby specialty restaurants. The most memorable meal was our lunch on the day after our late arrival. We were offered an amazing red fish ("peixe vermelho") literally catch-of-the-day, lightly seasoned and oil-fried with local side dishes. Probably the best meal I've had in Bahia in all the three years I've had of visiting for work or leisure... and very reasonably-priced too!!
