Stopped here for lunch of a guided tour around stone town. It was quite, comfortable and the staff were attentive. The food was lovely and we had a great time.
There is a nice view of the small islands off the coast of Zanzibar and you can see all the locals coming and going. There are quite a few boats though as the harbour is busy

I had a romantic idea of what Zanzibar would look like. And lucky for me the Serena Inn feed into that idea. Yes the staff was amazing, and the view was awesome. But it was the hotel and the atmosphere I loved the most. I loved the historic feel and look of the hotel, but was happy there was air-condition and Wi-Fi. There were plenty of places to relax have a drink or tea and find a little inspiration for the next chapter. For those that are vegetarian the menu was limited (for protein) but there was sea food.

Room tip: Ocean view is the best but away from the bar area if you are go to bed early. There was live music the night I was there.

I stayed at Serena for over a week and what I liked the most about being there is the staff. All of them are very kind, professional and helpful! They helped me in everything I needed and were always with great attitude! Also, I would like to share a personal experience: I forgot my computer in a hotel in Zanzibar and Serena's staff in Dar es Salaam did the impossible to get it back to me in few days. BIG THANKS! I am very thankful!

This hotel boasts of great service and perfect location. Facing the ocean, white sand beaches offer a spectacular sight. Possibly the best place for a romantic outting or honeymoon in Stonewall Town. Conference facilities, restaurants and bars makes this hotel of distinction truly part of The Small Luxury Hotels of The World. Best views are from the 3rd floor rooms facing beach.

I love this hotel. Have been here twice, once as a day visitor for a workshop and back again staying at the hotel. The breakfast is top notch, the service is beyond superb and you feel well taken care of, and the sea views from the rooms are great. Stone Town has so much to offer so maybe don't have all your meals at the hotel! Wi-fi is good and the spa also looked promising. I didn't get any treatments but while I was checking to out I saw some very satisfied looking clients so I'll definitely be back to try something..lol.
