This is a beautiful hotel, a little off of the beaten path, but worth it. Very clean, quiet and well appointed. The hotel reservation desk staff was exceptional, particularly Lizbeth. She gave us a dinner recommendation that was out of this world and took care of our every need.

No, it’s not the Ritz, but it’s a very clean, well-maintained extended stay hotel- meaning rooms are more spacious, in house-type buildings.
If your kid is coming or going from U Club Binghamton, this is the place you need to stay. A 2-minute drive or a 15-minute walk to the housing complex.
The management and entire staff are patient and welcoming.
We’ve stayed several times now, and we thought the breakfast was terrific. Plenty of healthy choices, make-your-own waffles, fresh coffee all day, what’s not to like?

This is a wonderfully clean and well run facility that caters to short or long stays. There are studio style units with a full kitchen alcove and separate dressing and bathroom areas as well as larger multiple bedroom units. Staff is wonderfully and unfailingly helpful.
One unexpected feature was the "mix" three nights a week where a light buffet supper is served in the main lounge area, otherwise breakfast is included every morning.
I would not suggest a ground floor unit especially on the weekends. A lot of families travel through this area prior to the start of the academic school year at the University and we had a lot of inconsiderate guests above us. Kids were jumping and running across the floor: essentially our ceiling. People were dropping heavy weights on the floor:our ceiling and a lot of door slamming went on.
Smoking is allowed outside which is a shame if you want to sit in the pool area. The grounds were littered with butts but partly due to a ban on student smoking in the school housing units down the driveway- they come on the property and smoke.
A wonder was a six point buck jogging down the driveway one late afternoon as there is a vacant lot near it that the owners have left overgrown while they advertise it for sale.
There are all kinds of restaurants within easy walking distance as well as two spas- one for hair and one full service. If you don't mind saving on a one room hotel stay by self-catering you will love it here.

Room Tip: Take an upstairs room or unit.

This Residence Inn is clean and comfortable. No issues to report. We would stay here again. This is one of the Marriott chain hotels. On this occasion, we used points with no problem. Free breakfast was included and very good.

The staff at the Residence Inn were all nice, helpful and went above and beyond to help us. The front desk clerk brought us ice and bottled water while we were at the pool without being asked. The pool was clean and well maintained. The room itself had everything we needed for a mini girls-weekend. It was clean and had all the amenities. During the continental breakfast, staff made sure the food was refilled, the area was cleaned and repeatedly asked if we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this hotel!
