This is the second time I have visited this restaurant. Friends we were with are regulars, but it's the first time they have been there this season.
Four of us went for dinner on a Saturday night. We arrived just as the sun was going down, and were seated within 5 minutes. The place was quite busy, but the serves did a great job of tag-teaming to make sure that we were greeted and our drink order was taken. They have a full bar and a small, but very good.
The food was exceptionally well prepared and the selection was very tasty. Nothing too adventurous - fairly typical restaurant food around here. The tables are beach-themed display cases - glass-topped with shells and other attractive beach flotsam underneath.
The main feature of this restaurant is the view - most tables look out over an attractive lawn, to a dock and Oneida Lake. The sunset on the night we were there was absolutely spectacular.
Apparently this season they have a new chef, and changes have been made to the menu to get rid of the sandwich-style dishes. The whole group felt that this was an improvement over the old menu. One of the guests had a steak and said it was very good, another had a chicken francaise special, yet another the clams with linguini, and I had the chicken riggies.
Definitely one of the better restaurants on the east Oneida Lake shore.
