It’s expensive but is the best the area has. Rooms are smarter than they used to be and the bus to the beach is a bonus. You don’t get unlimited bottled water but that’s life. The reception does smell of kats pee which is off putting but does not detract from the fact this place works.

We had two adjoining rooms with two double beds for four of us who were meeting for the weekend in the Hamptons. This hotel is perfectly suited for shopping, dining, strolling, and more. The hotel has a van that takes you to the beach whenever you want. They have umbrellas, chairs, beach towels for your use. The internet worked fine. And the front desk as well as the maids were very nice. Every evening after we returned from dinner, we strolled downtown to see what was happening. There were movies playing at an outdoor theatre, loads of people enjoying dinner and drinks outside, and it was fun to window shop. Highly recommend!

Loved this place! For the price, location, and onsite amenities it cannot be beat. It’s also pup friendly. We’ve already booked a return trip for a time where we have more free time available to visit and take advantage of the sites. Super friendly staff and very clean and well decorated rooms.

Without question, Southampton is one of the most expensive destinations in the world. The Inn is an average hotel, but it is so centrally located that is earns an extra star just for that. The beach shuttle is a big plus as is the giant pool. And to that Claude, a really good restaurant and the average-ness of the facility fades away.

There's no arguing the main selling point of Southampton Inn is location, and next to the center of town, it's terrific. The beds are large, comfortable memory foam mattresses, and the rooms and surroundings are clean and well tended. But with insanely high rates, and service that's borderline rude, the Southampton Inn feels like a cynical ploy to fleece tourists. If the location is essential, as it was for us, there are few other good options. But if you can live with less convenient lodging, it's worth avoiding Southampton Inn if possible.

Room tip: First floor avoids awkward and narrow motel stairs
