“A walk along a stream”

Charlie Major Nature Trail
Reviewed 6 September 2017

The trail is fairly level and well maintained. There is parking at both ends of the trail so you can decide where you want to start and where you want to end. There is a general store near the north end of the trail so if you need a cold beverage at the end of your walk you can find one. On the trail head near Old Seneca Tpk. there is a nice bench where you can sit and watch the water flow by in the creek.

This is very nicely kept and a great place to jog or walk your dog. Nice quiet path to relax and enjoy nature.

This is a nice trail, however it really needs to be better maintained. Dead trees everywhere. It could be very beautiful if it was properly managed.

As a resident, I have enjoyed this walk for years. When our children were young, it was a walk we could all do. Even in winter when you are desperate to get out, this is perfect. I recently walked the trail on a sunny fall day and was in awe, even though I have walked it countless times.

We enjoyed this trail after visiting the Last Shot. It's a very short, very flat path that follows a little creek. Lots of stone walls and ruins of buildings past. Don't need special gear, shoes, or be in shape! It's a great little side trip if you have less than an hour to kill.
