For my wife and I, Limani is a hidden gem among restaurants on Long Island's North Shore specializing in Mediterranean cuisine. We enjoy going there for a sumptuous Sunday Brunch buffet. Upscale and elegant, Limani knows how to do a buffet.
Let's start with the carving station - rosemary crusted prime rib and roasted leg of lamb cooked to perfection. Then, there's the seafood bar with all you can eat shrimp, and lobster. According to the chef, the seafood comes from Nova Scotia - and you can tell! If you like Eggs Benedict (like I do) no problem - just ask at the omelette station. There's such a broad selection of hot and cold dishes plus desserts - not to mention several specialty Greek selections. The only buffet item Limani does not have is soup - but the chef will make it for you.
Now let's talk about the service. Reservations are recommended. We were greeted at the host/hostess stand by name. Table linen and cloth napkins, white. Well-groomed, polite waiters in white and black. The Service is impeccable and always merits a generous gratuity.
We've never been disappointed at Limani's.
