Captain Tony's Pizza
Ranked #461 of 1,386 Restaurants in Rochester
Price range: US$5 - US$10
Description: In 1972, Antonio Martella opened the first Captain Tony's Pizza & Pasta Emporium in the fine state of New York. The entire family pitched in and helped, including his young son Michael. Grown up and away at college, Michael found that old adage to be true that you just can't beat home cooking, dad's pizza that is. In all of his travels at that time, sampling a variety of pizzas in several states across the country, he was not able to find a pizza that rivaled his own father's. His cousin (also named Michael) also agreed and the family decided to share this great pizza with the world by expanding into a franchise in 1985.

We found Captain Tony's after trying a few other local pizzeria's for delivery after we moved to the area.
They have good specials, great thin crust and other pizzas, a large menu, coupons and other enticements.
Delivery was on time even during inclement weather, and everything was delivered hot.
Antipasto salad was a good value as well as their very tasty wings. Pasta specials are very good and generous portions.
This has replaced Bay and Goodman's as our local Pizzeria..prices better, and better pie , better value.
You can call in or order on line so it is very convenient, and coupons and specials are posted online as well.

I've been getting pizza from this place for over 20 years. I especially like the thin crust with basil pesto and sausage. Great meaty wings and always quick!

These people are very nice, cool, and concerned that you get the pizza the way you want it. I actually won the weekly trivia email game a few weeks back, which gave me a small cheese pie. Cool! So get on their web site and sign up for specials and trivia email! ALSO NOTE - They have a small counter ding area and outside tables (not really good for winter) so I suggest delivery or take out. Very nice staff too!

Everyday they feature a special dish....Eggplant, Ravioli, Panini, Fra Diavlo. Great homemade soups. Portions are huge (even the lunch size) and the sauce (gravy) is really tasty. Owners are very friendly and will tweek your order to whatever pleases your pallet. They have a huge
menu and everything I've had so far has been terrific!

Ordered a large deep dish with pepperoni, crust was homemade and not bad, but the cheese was of low quality and about double the amount of what would be expected or enjoyable. Pepperoni was under the cheese, and was nearly as overused as the cheese.
