We've been trying to get to The Copper Oven since it opened and were finally successful in dining there. Located at Cayuga Ridge Estate Winery, we never even made it inside. The hostess greeted us and seated us on the porch where a small band was playing. Mason jars serve as water glasses and pitchers of water are provided on the table. Service was attentive and quick. We ordered flatbread pizzas. I was hoping to grab a salad but none caught my eye and at $12.00 a salad, I decided to skip one. Pizza preparations were creative. I chose the Big Poppa. It had crumbles of blue cheese, chicken and hot sauce topping it. My husband had a pizza that included a balsamic reduction. He loved his. The crust was crisp and the flavors super fresh.
We opted out of dessert. The evening was beautiful (rare for the area) and wanted to be on our way. This is a terrific place to grab an easy meal with attentive service. When we visit in fall, maybe we'll poke our heads inside.
