A 5 hour round on a Monday morning for $69.00 a head on a course that is not at all challenging and just above boring is not my idea of a round of golf. The fact that the course ranger was invisible (even when the group in back of us was hitting up on us) and the couple we played with paid far less than we did using some kind of coupon did not add to the enjoyment of the day.

There are better courses in the area that charge less and are far better managed.

I was in the pro shop when a customer came in to book a tee time. The customer said that his girlfriend will be riding along to keep him company, not going to play. The staff member rudely stated that it would be a $20 charge for his girlfriend to ride along. Yes this is a policy, normally never enforced. the customer stated his displeasure, instead of explaining in a professional manner the policy, the staff member throw the customers credit card at him and told him to get out! I was just a bystander, I could only imagine how the customer felt.

This was our first year out to the North Shore WInterfest - a month of weekend events of music and wine tasting. The wine is always good there. The wineries are beautiful and you can always find something that you will like.
The music is usually very good as well. But the talent booked for this event was amazing! They had jazz, rock, blues and easy listening bands/individuals at participating wineries and they were amazing!
We purchased a weekend pass from Travelzoo, which I highly recommend since they were charging $20 pp at each venue (with a free glass of wine). The pass was a much more economical way to enjoy the events - although without the free wine :) We visited a total of 5 participating wineries and a restaurant. Each venue and performance was unique and very enjoyable.
For those who know the area - the activities spanned from Riverhead, NY to Greenport and all the towns in between.

Played it twice, cart once, walked the other time. Very well kept course. Both days we were there a pretty good sized staff out maintaining the course. Nice fairways and fast greens. Rough is grabby. Mostly flat, except for 15 and 16. 16 paralleled the shore line. The sign, "Please do not hit golf balls into the sound" was a kiss of death. The one downside was some slow play -- not the worst we've seen, but courses do run into that problem.

Relatively easy scoring course with some very nicely laid out holes to include the par 3 hitting west along Long Island Sound. Not too long but plays very nice.
