We’ve read nothing but glowing reviews about falalfeland and decided to give it a try for a quick lunch. It’s a bit off of the beaten path in Fira, down at the bottom of the hill from the main square and next to a quad rental shop. Having travelled throughout the M.E., we know our falafel. Prices are great, seating is tight (more appropriate for take away), and it took a long time to prepare what is essentially fast food. The pita wrap was thin and yummy and was filled with lettuce, tomato, lots of eggplant, some Tehina, and felafel though one couldn’t really taste the felafel. The french fries we ordered on the side were hot and delicious. Understandably, this is a Greek twist on a M.E. dish and while it was ok, we couldn’t understand all of the fuss. Personally, I wouldn’t go out of my way to find falafeland but if you want some sustenance for a cheap price, it may punch your ticket.
