Blinding white terraces with cosy air-conditioned cave-suites behind. Perfect view over the blue sea in the Caldera. Sun from morning til evening.

Situated right in the middle of the most luxurious part of the main path through Oía that follows the crest of the caldera. The hotel reception is a small port house at the main path were you will be greeted a curved path takes you down the hill side between the terraces to your room. Each room has a sun bathed terrace with some nice furniture and a choice of small pools or tubs to soak in. At the lowest level of the property is a somewhat larger pool for all guests to use accompanied situated in a lounge area that also serves food and a restaurant for the evening.

The rooms have great air-conditioning and wi-fi. In the most cavey parts in back there is a modern shower room. Everything made in a modern aestethic way in traditional white plaster with wood and textile cream and blue-gray components.

There is plenty of staff and the rooms are kept clean and replenished during the day, a choices of breakfasts (with a very rewarding greek variant) are served freshly made on the terrace. I recommend taking the breakfast early at 8 or 9 before the sun rises above the crater rim.

Let me start by saying I very rarely ever give a place a five star rating…it has to be very special. We've traveled the world as a family, so I'd like to think I have a pretty good baseline of what I would consider five star accommodations.
Let's start with the view...absolutely breathtaking. The property is in Oia which is a great location in Santorini. The suites are "caves" that the owners family, going back many generations, used as their wine storage. They made these into 12 suites that look out over the caldera. This just adds a real "cool" factor to the accommodations. As you can see in the pictures, the suite is very spacious and well done. We had our own outdoor jacuzzi (some suites have their own pool in addition to the common pool) and there were three other tiers to sit out in as well.
The morning breakfasts were to die for....everyone in our family raved about them. From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, the staff treated us like family...I can't say enough about the owners and their hospitality. What I will say though is that my wife and I were so impressed with this property that we already decided that we'd be back to celebrate our 25th anniversary here.
Conveniently located to great shopping and restaurants....

Filotera is a small, lovely spot in Oia. Christina at the front desk was such an amazing help - everything from booking excursions, restaurant reservations and overall recommendations. Wonderful breakfast brought to your deck, all of which have stunning views. The pool is great - get a mojito from Alex the very sweet and talented bartender! With just 8 rooms it's got a cozy vibe and the staff take time out to make it known you are being taken care of. One note - the rooms are a bit on the small side, ours had just an American double bed (not a queen) and there wasn't much room to store our suitcases. Hot tip: The tapas restaurant across the path is phenomenal and the staff will help you with a reservation. For the best souvlaki, try Oia Souvlaki. These were both recommended to us by staff and they could not have been more spot-on fantastic.

We stayed only 1 night (sadly) at Filotera suites hotel and we had an excellente experience. The view is wonderful, the personal and management are very kind. We loved the jacuzzi on our private balcony and the pool. Special mention for the breakfast served in room or balcony.

Stayed for four nights recently. Loved the hotel and its view is to die for. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Location is great, just off the main street in Oia. My only very small complaint is that the deckchairs at the jacuzzi is really not very comfortable, but that would be nitpicking! Would definitely recommend.
