Recent early Sunday trek. Beer is fresh and cold. View is awesome. Great spot to get together with friends.

The staff are very friendly and the views of the river are great. The building is a beautifully restored old factory with high ceilings and exposed beams. And the beer is delicious. I had a great brown ale and one of their awesome IPAs. Limited menu on Wed nite, but the fries with rosemary and garlic are excellent.
The Newburgh Brewery is a terrific place for a quick brew, a visit with friends or a special event. Their selection of brews is excellent and they have won the approval of many for their taste! Our group meets regularly on the First Friday of each month and the kids are welcome! Teachers get a special discount and we also indulge in their list of fun food items. Delicious. On one memorable occasion, I attended a community production of Thornton Wilder's Our Town at the Brewery. Produced by the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, it featured several Equity actors in key roles, but locals made up the greater part of the cast. It was unforgettable and the brewery, nestled along the shores of the Hudson, proved to be a remarkable location. Here is an example of what can be done when industrial locations are refashioned. It has brought life back to the heart of the city.
This old factory building down the hill from George Washington's Headquarters is a perfect example of how we can resurrect a wonderful place. The ownership has refurbished this spacious room by re-purposing work benches finishing the tops with steel plates. Family style seating is a large part of the area. The brand new windows look out on the Hudson River Valley, Fall will be superb. For the full length of the floor a shelf or standing bar top allows couples to have a little privacy. This place is clean as a whistle with polished oak floors left over from the buildings bygone days. The bar is beautiful with a tremendous selections of brews both brewed or stocked.
Ask the tender for a taste of what you think is yours. He'll gladly draw a sample. The menu is a pub menu but what the heck it is a brewery isn't it?
And folks Newburgh is in the process of being revitalize, safe parking, nicely fashioned condos all around. For upscale dining after tasting a couple of home brews just jump in your car drive down the hill where five to eight restaurants are eager for you business.
It is strange to review an eatery that you like and end it by saying go to another eatery. I don't mean that, I just think the whole experience of Newburgh by the river is worth starting at the Newburgh Brewery.
