I start this by saying that this is a first for me, writing a review for a horrible meal. I feel terrible since I'm sure the owners are nice people but it is tempered by wanting to save som time effort and $$ of other unsuspecting diners! The only reason why this is getting 2 circles instead of 1 is because the waitress was sweet. Where to start? We were thrilled to hear this formerly outstanding restaurant had reopened. That's where the thrilling part ends. Friday night in the summer and we were the only table In the place except for one person eating at the bar. Under aged waitress had to go to the kitchen to fetch the cook each time we wanted a glass of wine. Poor girl had just started, had never waited tables before and had no experience with food/ appetizers or beverages. Medium rare strip steak orders came to the table grey and lifeless. McDonalds would probably prepare a more flavorful steak. The medium served medium rare tenderloins were better, but then anything would have been a step above. Over cooked snap peas and corn on the cob with either fries or baked potatoes were the only available accompaniments. Dinner was so bad that no one wanted to take a chance on dessert so we tried to order after dinner drinks and martinis. When none of the usual top or middle shelf fare were available, the poor waitress fled to the kitchen to grab the the cook, who turned out to be the owner. She came out all smiles and suggested that "give her a chance to convince us, people come in all the time wanting that top shelf stuff and when she makes them her own concoctions, they find them way better". Um, no. Sorry. Ugh. Be warned, and go anywhere else for a nice steak dinner.
