Visited this restuarant twice over the past 2 months. The food was amazing and there are a wide variety of dishes. The hostess Richard recommended a few dishes and they were excellent. The service was up to speed.
They also have a sushi & Sashimi Menu and we tried a few of sushi rolls and they were delicious.

The best Chinese food on Long Island. Have been here several times and never disappoints. Wonton soup is the best I ever had. Rich broth and the best noodles ever. Very light and flavorful. Moo su Pork also very good.

Went to Chef Wang for the 1st time and was pleasantly surprised at the food. They have a good selection of Chinese and Japanese food with lots of specialities. The soup dumplings (they call them juicy pork buns) were very good. Also, the pawn dishes were tasty. The restaurant is fairly large with good seating in two different rooms. We will definitely being going back to try other selections like the Japanese. They also do take out.

I read other reviews on tripadvisor about Chef Wang and wanted to try it. It's right in my neighborhood but I've passed by many times without it stirring up any interest. It looks like an old diner and has no ambiance on the outside. Big mistake on my part. I've been missing out on this nicely decorated place that has awesome food for too long. Extensive menu, very personable service (even though the language barrier does exist with some of them) exotic as well as mundane items on the menu. Drinks were also very good. I say go for it. I'm certainly going back.

We were our for an early New Year;s Eve Dinner at Chef Wang's New Hyde Park restaurant last night. Our waitress, Nina, was so happy and pleasant that the whole meal got off to a wonderful start. We explained that we wanted to eat very slowly, to enjoy both the food and the fine wine we'd brought with us (a $10 per bottle corkage charge was so very fair). Nina took command and served us at exactly the pace we wanted. And every interaction with her was accompanied by a smile.
As to the food, WOW! Everything was perfect. Among the excellent tastes we savored were scallion pancakes, barbequed spare ribs, juicy pork buns (soup dumplings), cumin lamb, Crispy fish, Singapore mei fun...
Although the specialties of the house are Szechuan dishes, the preparations of the Cantonese dishes were testimony to the versatility of the chefs. And our lovely waitress Nina was so careful to pre-determine the level of heat we wanted in the spicier dishes in order to satisfy our taste buds. It made for a wonderful experience.
