The Whiteface Lodge is a beautiful and very cozy resort with lots of amenities! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were surprised to be upgraded upon our arrival. What a nice touch! Truly a beautiful place in Lake Placid!

The resort is beautiful, and the employees are extremely friendly and helpful. The food, in both restaurants, is delicious! Very spacious accommodations! We had not been to Lake Placid in over 10 years, and this was the perfect choice for our comeback.

My husband and I will check out today after another great week at this lovely hotel. We have stayed here five or six times over the past ten years and each visit seems to get a little better than the last. The attention to detail at this resort is outstanding. From the nightly turndown service that includes a quick tidy up of the kitchen, bathroom and delicious homemade cookies to the fresh flowers and candles at each table in the dining areas. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. I look forward to returning again in the future.

Our family of 3 stayed two nights in this resort and we were very pleasantly surprised. The resort is very nicely built and with wooden structures all over the place, making it very warm and cozy. The rooms are very big, with big family room area, kitchen and a washing machine. Our room also had a jacuzzi. The hotel had a theater, games room, bowling alley, exercise room with Pilates and stretching equipment, connected outdoor and indoor swimming pools, as well as a fireplace where free s’mores are served every night. The only drawback to this perfect resort is the food we had at the Peak 47 is average. We didn’t try Kanu the formal restaurant. But we came away very satisfied and we sure will be back!

My husband and I stayed at Whiteface Lodge for a weekend. It is a beautiful Adirondack style hotel, with the big fireplaces, high beamed ceilings, unfinished wood and antler chandeliers. The grounds are manicured and full of flowers and birch trees. Our room had a balcony looking out onto mountains. There is an indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub, a sauna, a spa, a bowling alley, a game room, a movie theatre, tennis courts and basketball and bacci ball. Plenty to do, as well as two restaurants. Breakfast was included in our package. A full hot buffet was served, which was delicious. Everyone working there makes a point of saying hello. After checking out, the valet outside told us the maid had called the desk to say we had left our charger in the room. Tyler, the valet, ran back in to get it for us! What a great place!
