What you see in the pictures is what you get in reality. This is a beautiful cozy lodge with fireplaces all over and a rustic feel. We went here with our newborn daughter (2 months old) to get away for a couple of days and we loved it. They had a crib in our room waiting for us which was nice. The amenities are great as they have an indoor/outdoor heated pool and hot tubs, movie theater and game room. We were looking forward to bowling but unfortunately it was out of order. Hopefully next time we come we can try it out. We went to the spa which was lovely. Breakfast was included and was great. Overall, It is a very cozy place to come to and relax. Fresh baked cookies delivered to your room every night & s'mores at the fireplace was a nice touch. Although the rooms have a gas fireplace which I know is safe and easy to use, I wish they also had a real fireplace as sometimes the lounge area gets busy by the real fireplaces and there is not enough room for all to enjoy. The concierge was really helpful and the service staff was extremely attentive when we needed them. Def will come back soon.

This was our 3rd trip and we do love it there. We had a slight problem with a large clump of long black hair on the bathroom floor but when I brought it to the attention of housekeeping the entire bathroom was scrubbed with bleach and was received comps for the bar and also an adjustment was made in our bill. This was a total aberration and it did not adversely impact the rest of our stay. We will most definitely go back again!

Room Tip: We always book a one bedroom suite on the second floor. The third floor has the larger 2 and 3 bedroom suites.

Gorgeous resort and property. All aspects are first rate. Immaculate lovely modern and updated suites. Everything we wanted but more than we expected. This was a Groupon stay, and although wasn't a cheap weekend, it was fabulous.

Room Tip: All rooms appear to have been newly renovated

This was our first trip to Lake Placid and we were going for some R and R after receiving some unpleasant medical news. So, I decided to treat ourselves to a piece of luxury! I reserved a premier one bedroom suite and we arrived at 4 p.m. for check in. We were told that our room would be ready in about 15 minutes, so we had a seat in the beautiful lobby area. Honestly, our WOW moment was walking into the lobby area! What an amazingly stunning Lodge! We have never stayed in a place that was so warm and inviting! The decor' fits perfecting with its surroundings! When we were told our room was ready, we headed up to the third floor. We opened the door to our suite and were overwhelmed! We were stunned and in awe!!! This was awesome!!!! We were in a 3 bedroom, 2-story condo!!! I knew this was not the room I had reserved, so I called down to the front desk thinking a mistake had been made for sure! I was informed that we had been upgraded!! Honestly!! This condo was beyond our wildest dreams and GORGEOUS! Receiving this gift was a blessing from the personnel of Whiteface Lodge; more than they will ever know! My husband and I delighted in our "gift" every time we entered the condo! Whiteface Lodge, you gave us an unexpected gift when we were at our lowest and it will never be forgotted! You were the icing on our cake that day! God Bless you all for making our first trip to Lake Placid one that we will remember forever!

Room Tip: We were in a 2-story condo on the third floor overlooking the courtyard! It was stunning!

We did just that. Had a beautiful room with a view of the Pond. They room was very comfy with a Zaccuzi and Fireplace. They King Size bed was excellent and we enjoyed the quality of the sleep. The Staff here is superb! Only negative comment is sometimes the Valet has to be hunted down. LOL

Thank you so much for your kind response. We are so glad you had an opportunity to enjoy your honeymoon with us. I assume you could see our Koi pond from your room, though some rooms can see the trout pond. We hope to see you again!
