Make no mistakes. This is not a luxury resort! Instead of gilded chandeliers and champagne, you will find a comfortable and meticulously clean room and great and friendly service. The decor is indeed dated, but the beds are comfortable, and seriously, spend your time outdoors in beautiful Lake Placid and enjoy the scenery! The motel is for sleeping and entirely satisfactory. Expect a mini fridge and coffee maker

Spent four nights at the Maple Leaf in September, 2017 while in Lake Placid for a hockey camp. Like everything in Lake Placid, it's over priced, but very comfortable. The property is small, and it's getting old. But, it is meticulously maintained by the owner. He, does everything. Front desk, maid and building maintenance. Despite being close to the road, the property is quiet. The bed is comfortable and afforded quality sleep. The Wifi worked very well, and the bathroom was adequate, though small. The tub setup was new, and other than a slow drain was nice. There is a lot to do nearby, so this property is convenient. I would stay here again.

Room tip: Room 4 was just fine for a solo traveler.

Very Basic, but very clean. Did have two double beds, and room was quiet. Friendly staff, happy to point out where things are, or good places to eat. Average location, but walking distance into town, approx 5mins. Ok for a quick stop over or if you don't won't a view of the lakes. The shuttle bus stops just out front to shuttle you around Lake Placid.

If you want a small motel for a getaway this place is perfect.
Walking distance to town. Quiet.
Less than 20 rooms either king or double.
Non smoking and clean. There is no restaurant on the premises but several within walking distance.
Recommend Green Goddess Health Store.

Nice quiet place. It is not fancy but it was clean and the staff was VERY helpful and kind. The bed were clean & comfortable. Bathroom is very small but it was sparkling clean. Towels were sort of scratchy. I would reccomend this to a friend especailly since the price was $88.
