We had unit 54 which is in the back on the 3rd floor. You have a lake view and it’s 2 bedroom 2 bath, absolutely beautiful. I would live there. We are 2 adults and 2 tweens, plenty of space. The building has a game room with ping pong and a few other table games. The pool and the lake are a few minutes down a steep hill but they are golf carts if this is a problem for anyone. Pool is small but very nice with an indoor outdoor aspect. Lake is nice, lots of chairs at the lake and paddle boards and canoes to use. Restaurant is very nice and very expensive. Overall love this place.

Thank you for such an awesome review! We love that you were able to take advantage of all our resort has to offer. The Oak Tree Lodge units are pretty great with all that space, and we are glad you were comfortable! Again, we thank you for your kind words and hope to see you back again soon!

This was our 2nd visit to Cresthaven. The last visit was 2 years ago and I reviewed then. We went back this year. As such, I will provide updated comments:

1. Overall, we still like this place. Rooms are as nice as we remember. The unit we were in showed a little more wear than the last time (different room) but still good. Compared to a lot of the 1950's era motels in the area, this place remains a major step up (albeit at higher cost).
2. The pool... for the week we were there, the water was never crystal clear as we would all prefer in a public pool. I suspect, given the sheer number of kids and toddlers using the pool, they are struggling to keep the water sanitary. In the summer, you will want to use the pool but have to ignore the fact that the water is not properly sanitized. They either need higher capacity filters, more maintenance on filters and/or more chemicals. While not quite gross, it was not sastisfactory.
3. Pool area is extremely crowded. Guests tend to hog the chairs for the day. Could use a cleaning of the pool area on a more frequent basis.
4. The beach area is really kind of sub-par. There is no reason to have such a "pebbly" entrance to the water. They should sift the sand or truck in cleaner, sand. Not enough shade there either for "hanging out" during the day.
5. Given the premium price to stay here, it is a bit much to ask $70/day to dock your boat at the hotel.

See prior review for other comments.

Room Tip: Closer to the lake is always better but the quiet at the top of the hill is also nice.

The Lodges were newly built with excellent attention to detail and amazing lake views. It was relaxing from the moment we walked in the door. The pool was nice and clean, as well as a nice little exercise room. The arcade games were terrible and half didn't work, but there are lots of big arcades in town. Food at the restaurant was also very good. Take advantage of the golf cart that an employee rides up and down the hill otherwise be prepared if you stay at the top of the hill to do a lot of walking for the pool, restaurant and beach.

Thank you so much for noticing all the hard work our staff puts in to make our resort perfect for our guests! Here at The Lodges we like to take every opportunity to make each vacation a special one. We appreciate the feedback on the arcade games, we'll definitely look into that. We agree about taking the golf cart! Again, thank you for taking the time to give us some great feedback, we hope to see you again soon!

We just returned after spending four nights at the lodge, which was beautiful. It had a with great Jacuzzi bathtub, a huge walk in shower, updated kitchen and spacious private balcony. It was an extremely spacious 2 bedroom lodge which was perfect. My children ages 10 and 11 loved the lake and pool. ( bring your own floaters) although the pool was a little small it never felt crowded and chairs were always available. The pool was clean and refreshing. My only regret is not taking advantage of the online grocery shopping the lodge offers, would have been well worth the $20... glad my husband knows about boats, we rented our own for the day. It was pricy, but well worth it.

Welcoming Resort! Beautiful lake view- awesome cabin. From the moment we arrived we knew this was going to be a great place to stay! Georgia at the main lodge was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Lodge #19 was great. Kids had queen/twin bunk bed and 2nd room was a queen as well. Very comfortable. Loved the fully stocked kitchen with every tool needed to make a meal. Kayaks provided and Kids had a great time. It was a little chilly for our southern blood and will try later in the season next time. Loved the Boathouse restaurant; we happened to be there during restaurant week and we tried the $20.18 3-course prix fix menu. Delicious meals all around around. We will definitely be back for another visit to Cresthaven and have recommended to our friends.
