Sierra Gorda Mountain Bike Tour from Santiago de...
Reviewed 6 February 2012

We usually visit Queretaro, so we are supposed to be common to the area. But this time we decided to go farther, to Sierra Gorda. I'll have to let behind Tequisquiapan and the wineries and cheese factories in the region. Go find out.

Nice trip i you are pacient.

Next stop from Tequis is Ezequiel Montes, can stop there and have a snack or a full meal if u want. Exiting Ezequiel starts the half desert you´ll see for at least an hour an a half. Beautiful ride.

The winding road gets to mountains, there you see the change of the landscape. Turns green or sandy every time you round the mountain.

Have to be a serious traveler for this.

There are five 5 missions (Spanish established Missions to covert the Indians to Catholic)to visit: Jalpan, Concá, Landa, Tilaco y Tancoyól.

Basically the same.

Best places to eat and rest are in Jalpan. Try "Cecina" with "guacamole".

if you're adventerous enough, you can follow to Xilitla in San Luis state, but thats another story.
