The Greenporter Hotel looks quirky but has been very thoughtfully modernized to a comfortable level. Pros: comfortable mattress, windows that open(rare), outlet above the desk for devices, a/c, good location, moderately priced. Cons: an older building that has been retrofit, no breakfast on week days out of season, very slow elevator, pillows too soft.
Greenport itself was virtually "dead" during week days in late September. Many restaurants were closed and activities were quite limited.
