Our family has been going to Sam's for almost 20 years. They make a thin crust pizza that is just spectacular. We have our own combo that we always get: black olives, onion, basil and goat cheese. Their pasta dishes are also tasty. The Rosaline Salad is one of our favorites. It is a green salad with marinated mushrooms, artichokes, garbanzo beans & their own tasty Italian dressing.

In a nutshell, really good food combined with not the best service or experience. 4 adults, 4 kids came to eat here on a weeknight in August. Town was crowded and the hostess at Sam's told us it would be 20 minutes to get a table. We walked around for less than 15 minutes, and then came back. They gave away the table. Since they don't have a lot of large tables, we wound up waiting for an additional 45 minutes, which is never fun with 4 hungry kids and a couple of hungry husbands. Once we squished into the not quite big enough booth, we were happy. The food was wonderful - great pizzas, fabulous pasta, soups, etc. Our waitress was just ok.

My wife had Sams special pizza and I had the linguine with white clam sauce. Our cheerful waitress delivered these two basic dishes in no time at all this past Monday. The linguine was superb, prepared in a smooth, garlicky seafood broth. The clams were local littlenecks and could not have been sweeter. This was a surprise from the large chowder or cherrystones you typically find which usually are rubbery. We also split a Greek salad, sans vine leaves, but very tasty. We strongly recommend if you are looking for lunch or dinner.

We had a party of 7 and were lucky to get a table on a Thursday evening . We had some tasty appetizers and pizzas and a great penne alla vodka and chicken parm . The pasta was especially good . Service was attentive and drinks were good. We were delighted with the old time charm of the place .
